With only two variants available as offering to customers; Tata has finally launched a mid-spec variant of their compact sedan Tigor as Tigor XM at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tigor has been missing a mid spec variant and as reports tell, most of the customers with this budget range aim towards buying a mid-spec model rather than the top end or the base model. XM will now sit between XE (base model petrol) priced at Rs 4.68 lakh and XT (top model diesel) priced at Rs 6.87 lakh.
Main highlights of XM will be all 4 power windows, manual center locking, LED fuel gauge, full fabric seats, follow-me-headlamps, speed-sensing door lock system, full wheel covers.
Mechanically the same 1.2 lt petrol and 1.05 lt diesel engines will be carried over. No mechanical changes hence.
With a price range so attractive, XM is sought to attract a lot of buyers as the competition consists of much premium rivals such as Ford Figo Aspire, VW Ameo & Maruti Suzuki Dzire.
Meanwhile Tata is ready for the launch of their first ever compact SUV Nexon on 21st September, details here.
